What is an action?

An action is an executable compute unit. It has the following characteristics:

  • it exchanges inputs and outputs as JSON arrays.

  • it has a single purpose

Kinds​

An action can be of three kinds:

  • Docker

  • WebAssembly

  • Composition. A composite action can be composed of an arbitrary number of other actions, of any kind.
